Double cotton gauze, perfect material for our hair accessories

Cotton double gas is a fabric that embodies softness. In recent years we have found this fabric on more and more pieces and accessories. Initially used for baby accessories, it arrived in force in women's wardrobes!

With its ultra trendy weave, double gaz is a fabric that is similar to draped linen.

The gauze which is the origin of double gauze is a very thin and very light fabric. This is also (for a little history) why gauze was used until the 2^nd World War by classical dancers on their tutus.

Double-gauze, as its name suggests, is made up of two layers of gauze and is therefore much less transparent. It is easily compared to linen.

This fabric is super comfortable on the skin. Perfect for light and comfortable pieces, especially since you don't need to line it. This is why your hair will be delighted to wear such a material but also it will not keep you warm!

But what are its advantages?

•       The double gauze has a crinkled appearance and therefore does not require any ironing.
•       As we said previously, it is a very comfortable and soft material for the skin.
•       During summer, double gauze will be your best ally. This soft fabric lets the skin or hair breathe!
•       If you wash the double gas it will dry very quickly!

Fabric radiates a nameless softness in your hair!

Rayon is an excellent substitute for silk and that is why we chose this material in our collection. Made from cotton, it is a practical fiber. There are different types of rayon that can easily imitate cotton, linen or, as previously mentioned, silk.

In its rayon we also find modal, viscose and lyocell.

The history of rayon dates back to 1860. Following an illness affecting the self-worm, Chardonnet became interested in a way to create artificial silk. This is how “rayon” formerly called “artificial silk” was born.

Sometimes mixed with silk, cotton or elastane we find rayon everywhere on the shelves of fashion boutiques these days.

The advantages of this material are that it does not get hot, it does not need to be ironed and it dries very quickly. It is also very suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Angle embroidery is a fabric that is one of its trends that remains over time and continues. At Bohomane we find this very feminine fabric, but also romantic. It’s a material that will never go out of fashion. To pair with a classic look or a rock look it is perfect!

Angle embroidery is a pretty cotton canvas with patterns called “eyelets” which are embroidered on the fabric. Often its motifs are flowers or leaves.

For the record, English borderie is not that English, since it comes from Ireland!

Incredible washed linen in the hair!

Linen is a very old fabric which owes its popularity to the fact that it is very resistant. It combines flexibility and solidity. It owes its strength to its very tight weave.

You should know that there is a difference between linen and washed linen. In fact, washed linen takes its name from the fact that it has been washed several times with softening products. The goal is for the fabric to be much softer than so-called “classic” linen. Washed linen is the assurance of a quality fabric with this beautiful crumpled effect.

Linen is a material that we find every season. In summer on clothes it retains freshness and in winter it allows the heat of your body to warm you.

It is often found in decoration, sheets or curtains. This fabric also has the positive point of coming off very easily. Other advantages would be that washed linen softens again and again over time and does not shrink when washed.
